Payroll & Time Management Team Manager with German

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As the HR Payroll & Time Management Team Manager, you will be responsible for the professional end-to-end service delivery in the area of Payroll & Time Management for Germany, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • You will lead a team with diverse experience levels while upholding company values and leadership principles. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving business process excellence, and fostering people development.
  • You will oversee the organizational setup and support your team in maintaining employee data, processing tax issues, onboarding new hires, managing terminations, handling interfaces, and auditing payroll data to ensure accurate payouts.
  • Your responsibilities will also include creating time-specific reports, conducting quality management, and performing annual time management activities (e.g., submission of holiday entitlements).
  • Your team will handle inquiries related to Payroll and Time Management, providing detailed responses via phone and email while using our case management system.
  • You will regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders, manage escalations, and apply your strong communication skills, social competencies, and technical expertise.
  • You will work on projects in a target-driven environment, ensuring process adherence during operational activities.

About our future employee

You should have proven expertise in end-to-end payroll processing and time management administration in the German market. Fluency in German and English at a minimum C1 level is required, along with at least 6 years of professional experience in a Hire-to-Retire Shared Services environment, including 3 years of team leadership experience.

Additionally, we are looking for:

  • A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Psychology or similar (preferably in HR field or related areas).
  • Distinct empathy, team spirit, accountability, intrapreneurship, and a high service quality orientation applying end user centricity.
  • Positive approach with ability to act as a role model in our speak-up-culture and actively come up with ideas for process optimizations.
  • Resilience and proven ability to independently address complex issues in a solution-oriented working style (e.g., in the HR 3-pillar-model) in times of transformation and change.
  • Proven working experience in Process Transition & Transformation.
  • Preferably working experience with SAP HCM, ServiceNow, MS Office (advanced in Excel) and SuccessFactors.
