Internship - HR Administration (Employee Central) Team with German

The position

By joining our company, you will gain an overview of the GBS HR Organization, with a particular focus on the tasks and responsibilities of the Employee Central (HR Administration) team supporting Austria. You will gradually become able to independently contribute to daily operational activities. As an intern, you will support the Austrian Employee Central team in their daily tasks, learning how to use various tools and systems and how to process different HR administration activities.

The start date of our 6-month paid internship (contract of mandate), as well as working hours, can be flexibly adjusted to your availability. We work on-site in our Wrocław office at least 3 days per week.

Tasks & responsibilities

As a HR Administration Intern with German, you are responsible for:

  • Supporting projects, research, and team engagement activities
  • Supporting the implementation of process improvements  
  • Handling New Hire activities, employment data changes, and terminations for various employee types (e.g. regular Boehringer employees, contingent workers, assignees), including vendor management and PO creation
  • Managing documents and e-files, including preparation, updates, and verification (e.g. employment contracts, application forms, employment data changes, checklists, etc.)  
  • Processing H2R transactions in systems, depending on the team’s needs  
  • Preparing and analyzing reports  
  • Performing other HR-related tasks  

About our future Intern

You should speak German and English languages (both min. B1) and have the willingness to learn on the job.

Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Students or graduates interested in the field of HR Administration  
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel). Previous experience with HR systems will help you get acquainted with our toolset (SAP, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, OpenText, DocuSign) faster.  
  • Willingness to learn new skills and to take over responsibility for assigned tasks  
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a high level of reliability and confidentiality  
  • Proactivity, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset  
  • Previous experience in a professional business environment (e.g. internships or relevant student work) is a plus
