Research Laboratory Scientist: Cancer Antigen Discovery (m/f/d)
The position
With immediate effect, we are seeking a highly motivated Research Laboratory Scientists to join our Cancer Antigen Discovery team in Vienna. The successful candidate will actively contribute at the forefront of drug discovery and have an immediate impact on the development of novel cancer immunotherapies. The role focuses on cancer antigen discovery and validation.
This position is a limited contract for 2 years.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Design, perform and document in vitro and ex vivo experiments
- Characterization and validation of cancer antigens, supporting the development of novel cancer immunotherapies
- Execute experiments and evaluate data with growing independence
- Close collaboration with colleagues within the Cancer Antigen Discovery team and within the Cancer Immunology department
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. molecular biology, pharmacology, molecular medicine, immunology)
- English is the working language
- Experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques and assays including DNA/RNA transfection/transduction, CRISPR, PCR, Western Blot, flow cytometry and/or mass spectrometr
- Strong scientific interest and motivation to remain up to date with developments in the field
- Good understanding of cancer immunology concepts and antibody-based therapeutics is an advantage

The minimum gross annual salary for this position is € 47.532,24 per year (full-time) according to the classification in the collective bargaining agreement for the chemical industry. Depending on professional experience and qualifications, we offer an overpayment.
