Product Owner Quality Medicine Data & Analytics (m/f/d)

The Position

Join Boehringer Ingelheim as a Product Owner within the Quality Management (QM) organization, focusing on Data & Analytics.

In this role, you will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and delivery of data-driven products supporting Quality Management processes across Quality Medicine. As Product Owner, you will lead a cross-functional product team and ensure the development of scalable, compliant, and user-centric analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.

You will act as the central decision-maker for your product, owning the product backlog and prioritizing initiatives based on business value, regulatory requirements, and user needs. Working closely with process owners, data and analytics experts, and IT teams, you will translate strategic objectives into tangible product features and ensure their successful delivery.

Your primary focus will be to ensure that Quality Medicine data is consistently defined, governed, and usable across analytics and operational use cases. You will drive the development and continuous improvement of data and analytics products, ensuring they deliver measurable value to global users while meeting GxP compliance requirements.

As the key connector between business and technology, you will align stakeholders, manage priorities, and steer the product lifecycle from conception to continuous enhancement. In doing so, you will play a critical role in strengthening the digital quality landscape and advancing data-driven Quality Medicine.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the analytics product backlog with a strong focus on data readiness and usability , translate business needs into user stories and features for analytical products
  • Define and maintain business data definitions and data quality rules
  • Act as the key interface between business stakeholders, data teams, and IT
  • Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams (e.g. data engineers, data architects, information modelers, development teams) in the definition, implementation and maintenance of data & analytics solutions
  • Ensure solutions support compliance, transparency, and decision-making in Quality Medicine

Requirements

  • Experience in analytics or data product environments (e.g., Product Owner or similar role)
  • Proven experience in working with data models, data definitions, and data mapping/validation
  • Experience with data platforms, cloud environments, analytics tools, data cataloging (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, AWS, Snowflake)
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working (Scrum, SAFe)
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and structured working style
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple parallel tasks, Excellent communication skills for interacting with global stakeholders.

The remuneration for this position starts at EUR 64.170 gross annual target salary per year (full time). The actual salary package depends on professional experience and qualifications. We will be happy to discuss further details in person.
