Associate Data Strategy and Architecture Manager

The Position

This role will design, govern, and optimize the enterprise data architecture that powers BITW's analytics and commercial transformation. Therefore, you will closely collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, researchers, and data scientists to translate business and regulatory requirements into robust, future-proof data architectures. This role is main contact person between global/region/3rd party and BITW for monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting data pipelines, ensuring reliable operations, scalability, and cost efficiency across the entire data landscape. Moreover, you will orchestrate the implementation of large-scale and complex data solutions, taking them from initial concept through development and into successful go-live and steady-state operations.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Scalable enterprise data architecture & integration- design and maintain a future-proof data ecosystem that seamlessly integrates disparate sources (internal, external open data,purchasing from 3rd vendors)
  • Modern data delivery design patterns –

- lead the implementation of modern data delivery pattern, ensure smooth system transitions, proactive problem solving and risk management during new system launch/ transit

- Change management and capability training provided

  • Master data governance

- Data management layer (snowflake, AWS, Fabric..)

- Data acquisition & integration

- Data transformation & orchestration (eg, ELT, DBT, Python/SQL, EDP onboarding..)

  • Directly enables the shift from retrospective reporting to proactive, prescriptive commercial strategies (such as PBF or sales forecasting,..etc)
  • Ensuring that data structures directly support commercial transformation initiatives or current business focus (such as Omni-channel Marketing (OCM),Sales Effectiveness, ICP campaign tracking)
  • Value accelerator to mapping future trends

- From 'Data pipelines' to 'Agentic automated workflows'

- Shift to 'Data Fabric' & 'Data Mesh' architectures

- As counterpart for global data migration strategy and lead local data excellence 

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or relevant major subjects. MBA degree is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in data governance or business intelligence roles
  • Ability to lead technical workstreams, refine requirements, and coordinate between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading large-scale analytics initiatives
  • Expertise in SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for predictive and prescriptive analytics
  • Experience with Snowflake data environments and enterprise BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present complex insights clearly
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Team player, self-motivated and also an independent worker
