Regional Sales Manager - NSW & VIC
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager, based in NSW, to join our Commercial team, leading a high‑performing field force across a key strategic region.
This role offers the opportunity to play a critical leadership role in driving regional sales performance, building a high‑performance culture, and elevating field capability through coaching excellence and disciplined execution.
You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, translating national and brand strategies into actionable regional plans, while ensuring strong alignment with customer engagement priorities and compliance standards.
As a senior sales leader, you will empower your team to act with urgency, make informed decisions, and deliver exceptional outcomes, while continuously identifying emerging performance drivers that will shape future success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver regional sales performance across value, volume, and market share, aligned with national and brand strategies.
- Translate strategy into clear, actionable regional plans focused on high‑impact behaviours and customer value creation.
- Ensure disciplined and consistent execution across all channels and customer segments.
- Anticipate and act on future performance drivers, evolving regional tactics proactively.
- Partner with Commercial Operations on forecasting, targeting, incentive planning, and performance tracking.
- Provide data‑driven insights to Marketing and Medical to enhance brand strategy and customer engagement.
- Lead and develop District Sales Managers through a “coach‑the‑coach” approach to strengthen field capability.
- Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and high performance.
- Drive talent acquisition, development, and succession planning across the region.
- Ensure high‑quality, consistent field coaching across hybrid engagement channels (face‑to‑face and digital).
- Manage underperformance with timeliness, objectivity, and fairness.
- Oversee onboarding and continuous capability development to build a digitally fluent sales organisation.
- Leverage CRM systems and analytics tools to generate actionable insights on performance and customer engagement.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all systems.
- Champion digital and multichannel engagement strategies to deliver personalised customer experiences.
- Embed hybrid Customer Engagement Model (CEM) behaviours and drive capability progression across the team.
Your profile
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a proven track record of delivering strong commercial outcomes.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in people leadership, ideally including experience leading sales managers or second‑line leadership.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical Marketing will he highly regarded.
- Demonstrated strength in coaching, performance management, and leadership development.
- A high‑level coaching capability, with the ability to build capability in both District Sales Managers and front‑line representatives.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate cross‑functionally (Marketing, Medical, Commercial Operations).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Digital and CRM proficiency, with the ability to leverage insights to drive performance.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
