Manager, AH BU Communications ROPU ASKAN

The Position

Within the function of Regional Operating Unit (ROPU) Corporate Affairs, this role supports the Animal Health Business in both internal and external communications across multiple platforms and formats to drive employee and customer engagement, specifically by generating powerful, creative and relevant content in a timely manner.

This role will be instrumental in supporting the Animal Health Business Unit (AHBU) brand communication efforts, promoting and shaping content in an engaging and compelling way. 

The role interacts closely with internal stakeholders, especially in the AH BUs, Operating Unit (OPU) Comms colleagues and Group Functions.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the communications team through research, writing and editing internal and external content for Animal Health. Map out an integrated ROPU ASKAN content strategy and calendar that supports and extends initiatives across audiences and channels, both short- and long-term.
  • Stays abreast of current industry standards and techniques to ensure effective content that achieves the AH BU's goals. Provide counsel on social media and digital interactions; governance for the Animal Health communication function
  • Lead media relations across ROPU ASKAN, in support of both regional and local AH business needs. Effective agency relations management and be a resource to the supporting OPU Communication Managers.
  • Contribute to execute the Global Communications Strategic Agenda within ROPU ASKAN and support regional and local execution for AH across ASKAN. Contributes to ensure that regional and local campaigns and communications programs in the role's remit are in line with and support of the the Global Comms Strategic Agenda.
  • Support the AH BU business in internal employee engagement, related events and communication. This includes disease planning days and activities, MyBI story contributions and related AH BU awards submissions (e.g. W!TS Awards, AAI Awards)

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • An expert with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in corporate communications or agency environment with a strong track record of delivering results on time, within scope, and budget
  • Exceptional editorial and writing skills.
  • Experience in a regional/global set-up
  • Project leadership experience is preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate the broader impact of activities across the organization
  • Strong collaborative mindset, favoring inclusive approaches over individual ones
  • Naturally curious and proactive in seeking innovative solutions
  • Independent and capable of executing tasks end-to-end, including design and implementation
  • Confident in sharing ideas and open to constructive challenge
