Supply Chain Planner / Logistic Planner / Staff / Demand Management Gr, Commercial SCM Dept(大崎)

Accountabilities

 

1. S&OP & Demand Planning

  • Lead the S&OP cycle and develop consensus demand forecasts with clear assumptions and rationale (36-month rolling forecast).
  • Align with stakeholders and track actions.
  • Analyze forecast deviations and improve accuracy with the forecasting team.

 

2. Replenishment & Inventory Planning

  • Manage 36-month rolling NRP (Net Requirements Planning).
  • Plan and manage detailed shipment scheduling from Yamagata plant to DCs at batch level
  • Manage inter-DC balancing and stock transfers
  • Identify potential supply and disposal risks and coordinate with stakeholders to mitigate the risk.

 

3. Product Lifecycle Management Support

  • Reflect product lifecycle events, market events, and change events into NRP.
  • Manage product launches, discontinuations, SKU changes.
  • Align supply plans and minimize disposal risk associated with events.

 

4. Change Management

  • Align with POPU and/or local AM team to ensure correct product versions are supplied.
  • Manage change timelines and related system updates.

 

5. Transportation & Distribution

  • Plan inbound transportation schedules with logistics vendors.
  • Manage inbound transportation and delivery (import and domestic).
  • Monitor delivery schedules and resolve transportation issues.

 

6. 3PL & Vendor Management

  • Ensure DC operations comply with GDP/GMP and SOPs.
  • Ensure readiness of 3PLs for day‑to‑day warehouse operations.
  • Maintain audit-ready processes and documentation.
  • Manage delivery issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee contract management and ensure partners are compliant with GDP/GMP and corporate expectations.
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure operational compliance.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with vendors.

 

7. Data, Systems & Reporting Governance

  • Maintain SAP/master data and related manual data files.
  • Create and modify SAP material master for import SKUs.
  • Support system updates, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters.
  • Prepare and distribute KPI reports (FA, DOI, CSL, Discards, BIA, heatmaps, distribution related KPIs, etc.) to stakeholders.
  • Monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support reporting and questionnaires to external organizations or regulatory authorities.

 

8. Continuous Improvement

  • Meet team targets / Project timelines
  • Lead cross-functional projects and process improvements.
  • Update SOPs and standards.
  • Review and update processes and work instructions in accordance with corporate and local standards.

 

9. GDP/GMP Compliance

  • Ensure GDP/GMP compliance across processes.
  • Mitigate compliance risks.

 

 

Required Education

Degree / Education : Bachelor’s degree (Any) or above

 

 

Required Skills / Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in demand planning or minimum 3 years’ experience in supply planning, inventory planning and/or logistics
  • Team player, positive attitude and strong ability to learn independently, Inter-personal skills and able to work cross-functionally
  • Strong communication skills with different background stakeholders and in facilitating meetings, leading constructive alignment
  • Data analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot, Advanced formulas) and PowerPoint
  • Experience in SAP(SCM related)
  • Any of the following certifications would be preferred

              APICS – CPIM, CSCP, CLTD

              IBF – Cert. Professional Forecaster or Advanced Cert. Professional Forecaster  

              Micro-Master Programs (Supply Chain Management)

 

 

Language Skills & Proficiency

English: CEFR B2 level or above (Business proficiency)

Japanese: Native-level proficiency or equivalent (JLPT N1)
