Marketing Group Manager / Head of Group / ILD and Respiratory Marketing

Basic purpose of the job*


To maximize sales and patients' health of the own products on a short and long term basis by planning 
and executing marketing strategies successfully
Develop strategy and execute to expand market of Pulmonary Fibrosis with a focus on the Pre-diagnosis,
diagnosis, and treatment initiation phases

 

 

Accountabilities * 


1. Build market development strategy in collaboration with cross-functional team, entailing developing
and prioritizing promotional activities including educational narratives and campaigns under managing target costs
• Build successful multi-channel market development content, messaging and tactics in partnership
with cross-functional team and agency partners
• Monitors the product expense budget so that it is  exercised in a way which guarantees the optimal use of available resources
and results in maximal profitability for products without compromising long term goals and objectives 

 

2. Build market sizing/segmentation, target patient profiles and other strategic analytics in partnership
with cross functional team to inform key growth opportunities, targeting, engagement planning and message development
• Develop appropriate systems in case crucial KPIs are not appropriately working with existing systems

 

3. Create a performance based culture with clear accountability and a sense of urgency for achieving results.
• Lead the creation and/or management of (recruit, hire, coach, develop, motivate, manage and monitor performance)
a staff of management and/or professionals in Product Managers competencies and department specific knowledge,
process and skills including understanding the market, development of brand positioning, messaging, etc.

 

4. Ensure achievement of target sales and growth in Pulmonary Fibrosis
• Provides leadership to the cross-functional team to ensure that product objectives are clearly developed,
communicated, understood and implemented 
• Closely monitors the progress and facilitates agile measures when needed

 

 

Regulatory and / or Organisational Requirements*


Ensures all tasks are carried out in accordance with respective applicable BI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),
BI processes and regulatory requirements. Ensures that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical
and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with BI values.

Minimum Education/Degree Requirements*


Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

 

Required Capabilities (Skills, Experience, Competencies)*
• High communication skills (English and Japanese)
• Eight-plus (8+) years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry as marketing and/or consultant agencies,
including five-plus (5+) years people manager experiences supervising 5+ people.
• Experience working directly with digital partners to develop and execute initiatives strongly preferred
(e.g., Google, third party media providers, social media community platforms, etc.)
• Experience in guiding and integrating digital analytics and driving metrics-based optimization strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budget and resources.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
• History of successful performance.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and database applications.
• Ability to travel.
