Market Development Manager | non-line manager | TA-Cardio Renal Metabolism
Basic purpose of the job:
To drive Above-Market Growth and fully leverage the value of key assets within the TA-Cardio Renal Metabolism area, especially Jardiance, and VicaEmpa (CKD and HF) and early assets. This role is responsible for leading market development strategy and execution to maximize the current and future portfolio potential, thereby enabling the performance maximization of Must-Win Assets.
Accountabilities - Related performance indicators:
1. Market Development Strategy & Execution:
Drive market development strategy and execution to maximize current and future portfolio potential, especially in CKD and HF for VicaEmpa,and for early assets, enabling Maximization of Must-Win Asset Performance for TA-Cardio Renal Metabolism.
- CKD Market Development:
-Review CKD diagnosis and treatment rates and define ambitious market development goals.
-Position market development as a key success factor and drive strategic initiatives. - Market Development for early asset:
-Anticipate, propose and drive development and execution of market development strategies for early assets
2. Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Evidence Lead, Value Lead, and Market Access to develop and implement comprehensive and actionable market development strategies aligned with asset priorities.
- Ensure alignment of all functional activities and budgets with the overarching TA strategy by working closely with Asset Lead, Medicine, MAHA, Corporate Affairs, Jardiance Marketing Team, and Sales.
3. Alignment with Integrated Asset Plans (IAPs)
Ensure all market development initiatives are aligned with the Integrated Asset Plans (IAPs) to maintain strategic consistency.
- Consistency and alignment across IAP and relevant activities with overarching market development strategy
Regulatory and / or Organisational Requirements:
Ensure ethics and compliance. Provide timely updates of NBI pipeline and early asset information across NBI organisation. Ethical conduct of HCP interactions in TA. Ensure adherence to purchasing guideline in TA initiated contracts. Serve as contact for local Communication Department
Output documents
Quarterly TA update report, contributions to CDP/IEP, updated cost tracking sheets, local integrated brand plans
Job Complexity:
Work in a cross-functional team, global TA, respective Business Unit

Minimum Education/Degree Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Required Capabilities (Skills, Experience, Competencies):
- Experience in marketing, market access, or strategic planning within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record in cross-functional team leadership.
- Knowledge of therapeutic areas in Cardio Renal Metabolism area.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Business-level English proficiency (required for collaboration with global teams).
