Basic purpose of the job

 

Act as a key strategic business partner to the TA. Responsible for building an insights-led data-driven culture together with Forecasting and Business Analytics team to drive strategic decision making in relevant areas and ultimately help the business deliver profitability and further growth by leveraging market research (quantitative and qualitative) to inform strategic decisions and optimize market positioning.

 

Accountabilities

 

  1. Deliver high quality and actionable insights generation that are utilized to drive business decisions.
    • Engage with key stakeholders to understand the business situation and their needs.
  2. Ensure all responsible market research complies with relevant legal and compliance rules.
  3. Foster strong working relationships with key counterparts in TA, Medicine, MAHA, HP Operations and L&C.
    • Ensure that all relevant information is incorporated and integrated into analyses.
    • Ensure that the work done in responsible areas is optimized and aligned
  4. Discover/identify new and innovative techniques and methodologies that bring leading edge innovation to Strategy & Analytics department and the resulting strategy development.

 

Regulatory and / or Organizational Requirements

 

Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with respective applicable BI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), BI Code of Conduct, BI processes and regulatory requirements. Ensure that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with BI values as well as complying with local, and where relevant international law eg Data Protection Law of Japan / GDPR EU

  • Primary internal interfaces: TA (Marketing and Sales), Medicine, MAHA, HP Operations, Legal & Compliance
  • Primary external interfaces: Global Customer Insights team, vendors

 

Job Expertise

 

  • Market Research & Insights: Expertise in designing, executing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative market research with proficiency in primary and secondary research methodologies. Ability to translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry Knowledge (regulation, policy and overall healthcare system)

 

Job Impact

 

Provide strategic decision support through data-driven strategic planning by providing deep customer and market insights. Helps identify/confirm unmet needs, market gaps, and growth opportunities through robust research. Ultimately contribute to profitability and growth by optimizing market positioning and messaging.

 

Minimum Education/Degree Requirements

 

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field
