Logistic Planner / Staff / Demand Management Gr, Commercial SCM Dept（大崎）

Basic Purpose of the Job

  • To ensure the distribution and logistics of NBI finished goods including local transportation, importation, warehousing and customer distribution activities, processes and systems are compliant, efficient, update-to-date and optimized. 

  • To lead and execute project and process improvements concerning distribution and logistics activities and processes. 

 

Accountabilities

1. Manage transportations of goods from partners and/or ports to distribution centers  

  • Achieve transportation costs budget 

  • Maintain Truck load efficiency 

  • To develop 3 months truck plan from partners and/or port to distribution centers 

  • Maintain master data of the various planning systems 

 

2. Manage distribution centers activities  

  • Achieve warehouse and distribution logistics budget  

  • Ensure distribution centers and warehousing activities, operations, processes and procedures are in place, updated and compliant to GDP, GMP, corporate and/or relevant local/ international standards 

  • Audit and license support 

  • Provide 3PLs with required supplies run the distribution activities 

  • Execute discards 

  • Maintain master data of the various planning systems 

 

3. Manage 3PLs  (Warehouse & Transportation) 

  • Contract management and negotiation 

  • Develop and ensure 3PLs activities and processes are compliant to Good Distribution/Manufacturing Practices 

  • 3PL performance review 

  • Maintain master data of the various planning systems 

 

4. Manage other partners  (Supplies and Discards) 

  • Contract management and negotiation 

  • Develop and ensure 3PLs activities and processes are compliant to Good Distribution/Manufacturing Practices 

  • Maintain master data of the various planning systems 

 

5. Support and/or lead distribution and logistics projects and activities  

  • Project targets and timelines 

  • Identify, develop and drive new practices 

 

Required Education 

Bachelor’s degree (Any) or above  

 

Required Skills / Experience 

Special Skills 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics and/or warehouse management 

  • Strong inter-personal skills and able to work cross-functionally 

  • Strong communication skills in facilitating meetings and communicating information 

  • Strong data analytical skills 

  • Experience in SAP ECC / SAP APO 

  • Experience in BI Tools (preferred) 

  • Positive and keen to learn 

 

Language Skills & Proficiency 

Any of the following certifications would be preferred 

 APICS –CLTD 

Both English/Japanese intermidiate level
