Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents for the requirements of daily operation to ensure all relevant legislation, industry code and Corporate guidance are complied with, identify and minimize potential legal risks; develop or localize bilingual templates of contracts or other legal documents under the supervision of senior legal counsel to fit for the requirements of daily business operation and compliance requirements;
  • Provide legal consultation to business partners;
  • Assist senior legal counsel on corporate legal work, including corporate document amendment, corporate registration, coordination board meetings, preparation of shareholder resolutions, board resolutions, board meeting minutes, shareholder meeting minutes, and other corporate governance related matters;
  • Monitor external legal and industry development to understand the most recent legal, policy and industry developments, in particular in the responsible areas as assigned, and advise related business partners on the legal interpretation, implications and opportunities for the company's operations; support anti-trust expert on anti-trust topics and monitor anti-trust case precedents;
  • Independently manage simple legal disputes under supervision of senior legal counsel (e.g.: copyright claims out of daily operation, etc.) through negotiation, mediation or litigation; assist senior legal counsel to address simple customer claims and product protection;
  • Manage system owned by Legal Department and actively participate in local and global legal projects;
  • Proactively identify, assess and mitigate legal risks, and provide legal trainings to related business functions and teams;
  • Other tasks as designated by senior legal counsel and Head of Legal & Compliance.

 

Minimum Education/Degree Requirements*

  • Bachelor degree in PRC law or above from a reputable university.

 

Required Capabilities (Skills, Experience, Competencies)*

  • Over 2 years experience in a reputable law firm, familiar with contracting and general corporate work; experiences in foreign direct investment are preferred;
  • PRC lawyer qualification is a must;
  • Good understanding of PRC law, sound business acumen and commercial awareness and practically-oriented, possesses excellent, practical problem-solving skills, ability to balance legal risk with business impact;
  • Excellent, persuasive written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese required, including an ability to effectively and concisely communicate to and influence business. Displays excellent judgment and discretion with respect to all communications.
  • Strong digital literacy with an open mindset towards data-driven and AI‑enabled solutions, and the ability to quickly learn, adapt to and effectively leverage new tools and technologies to enhance work efficiency and quality.
  • High sense of ownership, self-motivated, problem solving mindset, hard-working, detail-minded, strong logical thinking, quick learner, team player and ability to work independently under pressure and understanding importance of prioritization.
