Job Responsibility:
-Support Strategic Scouting for new opportunities: follow up the latest scientific progress in animal health and related fields; assist in building relationships with a variety of external partners such as academic institutions,universities,start-ups, bio-techs, manufacturers, etc; organize or sponsor Strategic Partnering Events according to global and local processes, and ensure proper follow-up; Attend industry conferences/workshops/seminars and engage key stakeholders.
-Evaluation of opportunities: Prepare CDA/NDA with different parties before going to confidential information; Preliminary evaluate and provide input on opportunities from scientific and commercial perspectives; Involve the appropriate stakeholders and support the evaluation process; Assist in communicating the evaluation results.
-Transaction and other support as needed: Provide insights on opportunities to support the preparation of deal structures; Assist in negotiation activities; Support the preparation and review of contracts; Assist in communication with potential partners.
-Alliance management: Assist in alliance management with partners; Track contract milestones, alert for upcoming milestones, measure contractual obligations, etc.
-Collaboration with other teams and functions in GI China, Boehringer TCM and Global
Job Requirements:
-Advanced degree in Animal Health, Human Pharma or life science related fields and PhD degree is a must, DVM preferred, MBA education is a plus.
-Above 3 years of experience in Research & development roles & functions within the animal health or human pharma industry.
-Understanding of the latest scientific advancements and commercial opportunities in animal health and related industries.
-Excellent communication & influence skills to effectively engage key stakeholders. Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with a variety of external partners.
-Critical thinking capability to convey and analyze information with accuracy and efficiency. A demonstrated ability to solve problems is also highly desirable.
-Ability to collaborate effectively within BD&L and with other teams.
-Fluent in both Chinese and English communications.
-Working experience in BD&L is a plus.
