Medical Science Liaison, Metabolism

THE POSITION

 

The Obesity/MASH Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a pivotal scientific field-based role designed to enhance the impact of our medical strategy. Your work will center on facilitating strategic Scientific Engagement and overseeing the full lifecycle of medical evidence, from generation to comprehensive utilization. As an integral part of our Medical Affairs team, you will provide solid medical leadership to the cross-functional team, ensuring our strategies across the business are scientifically robust and effectively implemented.

 

Duties & responsibilities

 

  • Lead field-based scientific engagement with key External Expert (EE)s to gather deep insights and co-create solutions to complex clinical challenges.
  • Support the Evidence Generation plan by identifying critical data gaps relevant to clinical practice, regulatory needs, and market access hurdles.
  • Contribute the comprehensive utilization of scientific evidence, translating complex data into impactful narratives for internal stakeholders.
  • Participate medical leadership within the CFT, leveraging insights from implementation science to inform and align cross-functional brand strategies.
  • Provide field-based scientific expertise to support late-stage clinical development programs and navigate the evolving regulatory and market access landscapes.
  • Serve as a key scientific partner in the field, ensuring all interactions are executed with the highest ethical and scientific integrity.

 

Requirements

 

  • An advanced degree (e.g. PharmD, PhD, and MD.) in a related field is highly preferred, especially for candidates with prior professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing and nurturing credible scientific relationships with External Experts.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of conveying complex scientific information with confidence and clarity to diverse stakeholders.
  • A growth mindset to build a strong understanding of the interplay between medical affairs, clinical development, regulatory, and market access functions.
  • The potential to think strategically, connecting scientific data to broader business, regulatory, and market access objectives.
  • Proficiency for English in professional level and fluent in Korean are required.
