THE POSITION
- The Market Access Manager is responsible for contributing to improve the accessibility for all Boehringer Ingelheim’s products through leading the design, development, and implementation of pricing and reimbursement strategies to drive profitable growth.
- This role will build close relationship with various internal/ external stakeholders to enable NHI listing for new drugs with faster, better and wider population, optimal post pricing management and improvement of reimbursement guideline.
- This role will be based on Seoul office and report to Head of Market Access & Healthcare Affairs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement tangible Pricing and Reimbursement (P&R) strategies to ensure optimal and timely reimbursement, maximizing the commercial potential to both current and future marketed products.
- Establish a comprehensive understanding of relevant P&R methodologies, gain stakeholders and payers’ insights and form a robust product value proposition
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish brand objectives related to market access initiatives.
- Screen and search external data relating to the P&R submission and/or the price negotiation with the authorities.
- Monitor and analyze price adjustment rules and assess product pricing strategy during product life cycles.
- Develop and ensure Health Economics and Outcome Research (HEOR) programs and generate local value dossiers to support the above strategies and engage stakeholders to facilitate product launch and access.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or post-graduate qualification in pharmacy, epidemiology, health economics or economics, public health, biostatistics
- More than 5 years of experience in Market Access relevant experience with a comprehensive understanding of the market access environment and the government/payer review process.
- Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics and interpret scientific data into strong and compelling value messages. Relevant experience with a proven track of success record in preparing and submitting pricing and reimbursement dossiers is desirable
- Understanding of the Market Access, healthcare environment as well as customers' demands and Understanding HTA studies and pricing regulations. Ability to develop trust-based relationships with stakeholders and government officials
- Action oriented, works efficiently, and constantly moving forward to achieve set goals. Ability to handle multiple tasks and strong project management skills.
- Good interpersonal, Good skill in MS excel and AI tools. Fluent English and Korean. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Commercial acumen and ability to communicate complex topics.
