Country Liaison

THE POSITION

 

·       As a CD&O Country Liaison, you will play a pivotal role in shaping global clinical development by building strong relationships with investigators, site staff, external experts and patient organizations across diverse therapeutic areas in Korea.

·       You will collaborate closely with regional and local teams to drive clinical trial excellence, accelerate innovation, and enhance Boehringer Ingelheim’s reputation within the local research community.

·       This position offers the opportunity to lead strategic site engagement initiatives in Seoul, working at the forefront of clinical research.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

·       Ensures speed and value in the delivery of clinical trials management through patient and site engagement activities liaising with Regional CTM and other functions (e.g., Medical Affairs, Market Access, PAR).

·       Identify and select clinical trial sites in alignment with regional and global priorities, collaborating closely with the Regional Clinical Trial Manager.

·       Drive frontloading activities for trial setup, including site mapping, early site contact, and preliminary contract negotiations to increase efficiency and speed.

·       Collect and provide country-specific insights and feedback from external experts and patient organizations to improve trial design and contribute to the regional input process.

·       Advise on the suitability of patient-facing trial documents, ensuring compliance with country requirements and legal standards.

·       Support local issue resolution in collaboration with CROs and the Regional CTM, and contribute to increasing awareness of Boehringer Ingelheim’s clinical development programs.

 

Requirements

  • Strong clinical trial management experience with emphasis on team work to ensure collaboration in stakeholders management is desirable
  • Experience in Therapeutic Areas relevant in BI pipeline is desirable
  • Understanding of local/regional major regulations including the local rules and regulations of engaging with patients and HCPs (compliance framework)
  • Familiarity with guidelines and standard of care is desirable
  • Experienced in working with CROs and POs is desirable
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills
