THE POSITION
· Join Boehringer Ingelheim Korea as a Corporate Affairs Manager and play a critical role in shaping the company’s external reputation and stakeholder engagement in one of our key affiliate markets.
· This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of communications, public affairs, and corporate strategy, collaborating closely with senior leadership and global teams.
· Based in Seoul, this role contributes directly to strengthening trust with policymakers, media, and broader society.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Develop and implement integrated communications and public & government affairs strategies aligned with global, regional, and local priorities
· Lead media relations and engagement, and develop and manage key assets including messages and narratives
· Monitor and analyze the external environment, including policy developments, public discourse, and stakeholder expectations, and provide timely strategic insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders
· Engage with a broad range of external stakeholders, including government bodies, industry associations, and partners, and act as a key liaison working closely with cross-functional teams
· Support internal and leadership communications, including townhalls, leadership positioning, and key internal messages to ensure alignment and clarity
· Identify emerging reputational risks and opportunities, contributing to proactive issue management and continuous improvement of corporate affairs effectiveness
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Political Science, or a related field
· Minimum of 7 years of proven professional experience in corporate affairs, communications, public affairs, or related roles, preferably in healthcare industry
· Strong understanding of media, policy, and stakeholder landscapes in Korea
· Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically, translating complex, regulated, or issue-driven environments into clear, actionable insights
· Fluency in Korean and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages
