Windows Automation and Analytics Engineer

The Windows Automation and Analytics Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and operating enterprise-grade Windows-based systems. The role is focusing on Windows OS knowledge, infrastructure automation, and data-driven operational insights.

You will act as a technical expert, driving standardization, reliability, and observability while enabling scalable and secure system operations.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Windows OS Engineering
    • Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of Windows clients (Windows 11).
    • Managing and Analyzing Windows OS components:
      • Group Policy (GPO), Intune, MDM.
      • Windows security baselines.
    • Networking, storage, patching, and update strategies.
  • Troubleshoot complex OS-level issues (performance, stability, security).
  • Automation & Configuration Management
    • Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, APIs and SDKs (Microsoft Graph, REST)
    • Automate OS deployment, configuration drift detection, remediation, and compliance reporting.
    • Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration standards.
  • Data Structures, Analytics & Observability
    • Support enhancements to structured data models for system telemetry and operational metrics.
    • Collect, normalize, and analyze data from Event logs, Endpoint telemetry, Configuration and compliance data and other sources
    • Build analytics and insights to support Proactive operations, root cause analysis as well as capacity and reliability planning
  • Software & Data Engineering
    • Develop tools and services in C# (.NET) for system management, automation, or monitoring scenarios.
    • Design and query relational and unstructured data sources using SQL and KQL.
    • Integrate data pipelines across monitoring, security, and management platforms.
  • Collaboration & Technical Leadership
    • Act as a subject matter expert for Windows platforms and automation.
    • Review designs and code (PowerShell, C#, queries).

Requirements 

  • Windows Platform Expertise:
    • Windows OS internals.
    • Windows administration (enterprise scale).
    • Group Policy, Intune, MDM, and configuration management.
    • Automation & Code & Data.
    • PowerShell.
    • C# /.NET (tooling, services, background jobs).
    • Good understanding of data structures, data modeling and data analytics
  • Azure or hybrid infrastructure experience
  • Endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM/MECM).
  • Monitoring & analytics platforms (Azure Data Explorer, Log Analytics).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
  • Understanding of DevOps / SRE principles.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD for scripts.
  • SQL: advanced querying, joins, indexing, performance.
  • KQL: log analytics, dashboards, trend analysis.
  • 3+ years experience in enterprise IT system engineering.
  • Proven experience operating Windows environments at scale.
  • Track record of delivering automation and measurable operational improvements.
  • Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments is a plus .
  • English fluent.
