ServiceNow Engineer
Our team is looking for a technology-focused and team-oriented professional to support a ServiceNow development team responsible for a custom-built solution used across manufacturing environments. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of a critical application that supports shopfloor operations and the broader Operational Excellence initiative. You will collaborate with global stakeholders, translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and provide technical leadership to a team delivering high-quality applications. This position offers a unique combination of business consulting and system engineering responsibilities within a dynamic international environment that drives innovative digital initiatives across manufacturing operations. This position follows a hybrid setup with two days per week on site.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Define and enforce ServiceNow architectural standards, ensuring solutions leverage out-of-the-box capabilities, follow platform best practices, and align with scalability, security, and maintainability principles.
- Act as the ServiceNow subject matter expert, advising stakeholders on platform optimization and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support development teams in the design, development, qualification, and maintenance of complex ServiceNow applications.
- Drive software engineering best practices, including code reviews, Agile methodologies, and continuous integration and deployment approaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define business requirements, establish technical direction, and deliver new tools and enhancements successfully.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including code, testing activities, technical specifications, and development standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in ServiceNow development and architecture, including ITSM, integrations, and scoped applications.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities such as Flow Designer, Scheduled Jobs, REST API integrations, data modeling, ACLs, and application scoping.
- Hands-on experience with update sets and deployment strategies within the ServiceNow platform.
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, Agile methodologies, and code quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in an international and intercultural environment.
- Fluent business English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, ITSM, or CIS are considered an advantage.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
