Senior Product Engineer (DevOps & Operations)
Do you share our passion for improving healthcare by developing and operating robust, innovative IT solutions that support Clinical Development?
Then join our product team within IT RDM Medicine. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to the development and end-to-end operation of modern software solutions that address real business needs in a regulated environment.
This role is designed for a technically strong, hands-on professional who enjoys building solutions while also taking responsibility for their delivery, stability, and continuous improvement. The focus is on combining engineering work with ownership across the solution lifecycle, in close collaboration with the team and stakeholders.
You will join an international and intercultural team of highly skilled IT professionals based in Germany, Spain, and Japan. We are moving away from rigid role definitions and are looking for people with a multi-learning mindset who are curious, pragmatic, and comfortable contributing across technical and operational topics.

- Take end-to-end responsibility for IT systems across their lifecycle, including development, releases, operation, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to IT system lead–related activities such as release coordination, change preparation, operational readiness, and incident handling
- Act as a member of a product team, building solutions from early prototyping to fully productive and scalable services
- Contribute to architectural discussions and solution design in alignment with overall IT architecture and IT strategy
- Guide and collaborate with external developers where applicable
- Actively participate in agile delivery activities and support team coordination as a shared responsibility
- Contribute to capability development and roadmap planning in close partnership with the business Capability Owner

- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and/or regulated environments (GxP) is a plus
- Willingness to learn beyond a single role and to grow with evolving product and organizational needs
