Medical Writer HEOR & RWE

Medical Writer HEOR & RWE role within the Global Services Medical Writing Delivery Unit, based in Barcelona (Sant Cugat), Spain, with a flexible hybrid working option. Become part of a dynamic team of skilled medical writers supporting the development of health economics, outcomes research, and real‑world evidence documents, working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to generate high‑quality scientific evidence across the product lifecycle.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Draft high quality HEOR and RWE deliverables (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations, study report and study protocols) and associated medical content within specified delivery timelines and compliant to BI standards and processes.
  • Update content according to the feedback received during review cycles.
  • Ensure final version receives approval from the relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform peer reviews to ensure scientific accuracy, methodological consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of the publication and medical content outputs.

Requirements 

  • Experienced Medical Writer (3-5 years), with a scientific or health economics background and advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or Masters), at least 3 years of experience in HEOR and/or RWE writing (manuscripts, posters, abstracts, etc.) with excellent medical writing skills.
  • Solid understanding of HEOR and RWE methodologies, including observational study designs, economic evaluations, PRO research, and real‑world data analyses.
  • Strong medical writing skills with high attention to detail, ability to manage and prioritize multiple, detailed activities, results-orientated with fast and focused execution.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and time‑management skills, with experience working in cross‑functional and global teams.
  • Ability to work within a team or across multiple teams (including remotely) as well as independently.
  • Fluent in oral and written English with high level of communication skills, values teamwork and collaboration, diversity and inclusion, and innovation.
  • Prior experience working in any of the therapeutic areas of Cardiovascular, Metabolism, Respiratory (CMR), Inflammation, Immunology, Retinopathy, Central Nervous System, and Oncology would be advantageous.
