At Boehringer Ingelheim, we are launching the new edition of our 2026 Internship Program, aimed at individuals with enthusiasm, a desire to learn, and a willingness to contribute to our purpose: improving the lives of present and future generations.
We are looking for the following three positions:
1. CYBERSECURITY & AI
As a Cybersecurity & AI Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into the dynamic world of digital protection and artificial intelligence. Throughout your internship, you’ll learn how to analyze and respond to security threats, explore innovative AI solutions, and develop your technical and analytical skills. Our team is dedicated to supporting your growth, offering hands-on guidance and plenty of chances to expand your knowledge in a collaborative environment.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Learn to monitor networks and identify potential security risks using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with team members to support the development and testing of AI-based security solutions.
- Assist in researching the latest cybersecurity threats and AI trends, helping to keep our strategies up to date.
- Explore real-world case studies and participate in internal training sessions to build your expertise.
- Develop skills in scripting, automation, and data analysis relevant to both cybersecurity and AI projects.
2. DATA SCIENCE & AI
This role focuses on applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to design innovative solutions that strengthen corporate security. You will benefit from a robust data infrastructure already established in the company and will collaborate with automation profiles and other Data Science areas.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Contribute to large-scale Data Science and Artificial Intelligence projects to strengthen cybersecurity.
- Support on the implementation and documentation technical tasks (data processing, modeling, agent development) to bring AI solutions from start to finish.
- Research and propose new ideas and AI technologies to solve security problems.
3. SECURITY ENGINEER
You will help us develop automations and tools to improve the monitoring of the protection solutions of the company. In addition, you will help us improve the internal processes of the team and, once familiar with the company, will collaborate with the different members of the team to implement new security configurations.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Collaborate with team members to implement new security measures.
- Participate in the creation of automations to improve internal team processes.
- Support the development of automations that enhance communication of changes and improvements to our tools for other teams.
- Assist in developing applications that help the team become more efficient.
What kind of profile are we looking for?
- Education: Student in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence Digital Business or a related field.
- Experience: Understanding of programming (e.g., Python, Java) and interest in security or AI concepts will be valued.
- Languages: High level of English, all communication will be in English.
- Skills: Motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced, supportive environment, strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to ask questions and seek feedback, good communication and teamwork abilities; open to collaborating and sharing ideas, proactive.
- Availability: Start date February 6th 2026, with the possibility to sign a university internship agreement for approximately 12 months.
