Global Svc Tagging Specialist

The Global Content Tagging Specialist is responsible for supporting taxonomy management across enterprise content platforms, ensuring metadata structures reflect strategic priorities—especially those derived from Integrated Customer Planning (ICP). This role does not involve direct tagging of content but focuses on designing, governing, and evolving taxonomy frameworks that enable high-quality tagging, discoverability, and performance tracking across systems like Veeva Vault, CMS, DAM systems, and FRED/MDG.

The Content tagging Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams—including marketing, medical, and data analytics—to translate ICP strategic plans into actionable taxonomy structures. The work directly impacts the effectiveness of content localization, campaign execution, and performance analytics.

Content Tagging Specialist works with business stakeholders to explain the importance of quality tagging on business performance.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Support taxonomy management initiatives across content platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with metadata ecosystem stakeholders to maintain and evolve controlled vocabularies and metadata schemas.
  • Govern taxonomy implementation across platforms, ensuring compliance with data standards and business needs.
  • Oversee metadata creation and distribution processes for various content types.
  • Work with ICP champions, brand teams, and medical stakeholders to ensure taxonomy reflects strategic segments, key messages, and campaign objectives
  • Collaborate with system owners to integrate taxonomy practices into content workflows and service management tools
  • Drive continuous improvement in data integrity and document lifecycle management.
  • Provide strategic input on content analytics, tagging quality, and taxonomy evolution.
  • Support reporting and analytics related to taxonomy usage and content performance.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives (e.g. AI tagging solutions) to improve tagging efficiency and consistency.

Requirements 

  • Minimum 3 years in content management services, with a focus on taxonomy, metadata, or data governance.
  • Nice to have: Proven experience with Veeva Vault and other DAM/CMS platforms.
  • Background in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical, legal, regulatory).
  • Experience working in virtual, international, and multicultural environments.
  • Strong understanding of taxonomy development, controlled vocabularies, and metadata schemas.
  • Ability to translate business needs into structured metadata frameworks.
  • Understanding of ICP methodology and its application to content planning and tagging.
  • Proficiency in excel or similar tool for taxonomy tracking, reporting, and auditing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in content analytics and quality control.
  • Strategic thinking to effectively coordinate the implementation of new attributes and values across multiple platforms and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Fluent in English (written, spoken, reading); German or other languages are a plus.
