Data Governance Engineer - Collibra
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to join the Enterprise Data Governance Catalog (EDGC) team. EDGC is our internal data catalog platform built on Collibra. The candidate will play a key role in the functional and technical development of the EDGC platform, including configuration, customization, implementation, and enhancement of Collibra capabilities. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to understand user needs, translate them into technical solutions, and align with the product roadmap.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for the EDGC platform.
- Configure and customize Collibra to meet business needs, including workflows, data models, and integrations.
- Implement and maintain metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks within Collibra.
- Develop and enhance Collibra capabilities, such as APIs, connectors, and custom scripts (e.g., Java, Groovy).
- Provide user support, training, and documentation to ensure effective adoption of the EDGC platform.
- Monitor and resolve technical issues, ensuring the platform's stability and performance.
- Align platform development with the enterprise data governance strategy and product roadmap.
- Stay updated on Collibra features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve the platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer science or similar
- 3+ years of experience working with Collibra configuration and development (workflows, integrations, APIs).
- Proven track record in data governance, metadata management, or data cataloging initiatives.
- Proficiency in Java, Groovy, or other scripting languages used in Collibra development.
- Understanding of data governance principles, metadata standards, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience in enterprise-level software development, including configuration and customization of platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with users and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Proactive and collaborative mindset to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
