Data Enablement Coordinator

As a Global Data Enablement Coordinator, you will serve as the backbone between technical delivery and operational execution for our data modeling & transformation squad. You will coordinate and guide the development of Raw Vault and Business Vault layers in Snowflake using dbt, ensuring alignment with business requirements, governance standards, and architectural best practices.

The data enablement coordinator will lead the end-to-end design and implementation of data models using Data Vault 2.0 principles, while ensuring seamless orchestration and deployment through dbt, Snowflake, Apache Airflow, and Jenkins. The role will be instrumental in driving performance optimization, cost efficiency, and operational excellence across our cloud data ecosystem.

This role requires strong technical understanding of data modeling, ELT/ETL processes, and data warehousing principles — especially around Information Modeling and Data Vault 2.0 . While you won’t be coding every day, you must be capable of diving into code, reviewing designs, and resolving technical roadblocks alongside your team.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead the design and documentation of enterprise information models aligned with Data Vault 2.0 standards, supporting diverse data ingestion sources and use cases.
  • Develop, review, and optimize dbt models as part of the ELT pipeline, ensuring modularity, reusability, and performance.
  • Design and maintain orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow, ensuring reliable and scalable execution of data pipelines.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins, automating testing, deployment, and version control processes for data transformations.
  • Serve as the internal Snowflake expert ("Snowflake Ninja"), leveraging advanced  and new features, optimizing query performance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement frameworks for monitoring, alerting, deployment automation, and governance.
  • Coordinate workstreams using Jira, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and timely delivery across the squad.
  • Translate technical progress and roadblocks into business terms, providing actionable updates and insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies in current data pipelines, proposing and implementing scalable solutions that drive long-term impact.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the data modeling and transformation squad.
  • Report on Cloud Computing metrics (queries, tasks) and associated costs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex data models using Data Vault 2.0 principles in enterprise environments.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience building and maintaining dbt models for large-scale data transformation.
  • Deep familiarity with Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse, including performance tuning, query optimization, and cost management strategies.
  • Solid understanding of orchestration tools, particularly Apache Airflow, and experience managing deployment pipelines via Jenkins.
  • Python knowledge to monitor and manage deployments. Not necessarily an expert.
  • Experience working within Git-based development workflows, CI/CD practices, and Jira-based sprint planning and backlog management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Track record in cloud data architecture best practices, including performance tuning, cost optimization, and scalable data pipeline design.
  • Problem-solving and innovative mindset to optimize and enhance processes, evaluating automation opportunities.
  • Proven experience around pharma datasets and applications like Veeva CRM, Adobe Campaign, Google suite, Veeva Vault, MDG…
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Strong collaboration and mediation skills
  • Strong results orientation. Ability to plan and organize work.
