Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare all assigned records, calculations, and documentation.
  • Read and follow schedules, procedures, and documents.
  • Assist in training other employees in an area of responsibility as assigned.
  • Assist staff in developing new procedures and methods or improving old ones.
  • Use and understand computer assisted data entry, and process logic controllers (PLCs) including SAP.
  • Independently and properly, handle and dispose of hazardous waste.
  • Follow safety precautions and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification and maintain annual certification.
  • Perform transactions into the FedEx or other shipping system.
  • Receive and unload shipments, identify and count incoming materials intended for production or distribution, to include MRO items.
  • Count, transfer, and locate production materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas safely, timely, and accurately.
  • Perform routine inventory counts (independently), inclusive of required data entry into the Inventory Management System.
  • Obtain a Class “E” or CDL chauffeur´s license. ( as requested)
  • Identify the need for and perform housekeeping throughout the receiving/dock area, warehouse environment, and cooler areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and policies and procedures.
  • Operate RF device equipment in order to perform assigned computerized inventory transactions.
  • Receive and inventory gas cylinders.
  • Use and understand data entry within the Company Inventory Management System, as well as perform computer transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Operate the Microsoft Office suite, in particular the following modules: Excel, Word, and Outlook, as they relate to the employees responsibilities.
  • Independently operate the company´s Inventory Management System particularly as it relates to (but not limited) the following functions: receiving incoming shipments, site and off-site warehouse transfers, and general inventory management.
  • Prepare outbound shipments to include, but not limited to: appropriate material preparation, utilization of temperature monitoring device(s), preparation of shipping documentation in accordance with company Policies and Procedures.
  • Operate all warehouse equipment safely and in compliance with equipment guidelines and training.
  • Competent and reliable driver of motor vehicles, including warehouse fork lifts, Pallet Transfer Machine and man-up lifts, and able to obtain a CDL license.
  • Able to identify freight damage during loading and unloading.
  • Able to sustain heavy lifting over extended periods of time.
  • Working knowledge of all product names, incoming materials, and storage locations.
  • Operate Floor Scrubber, Floor Sweeper and other housekeeping duties.
  • Perform duties associated with receiving process to include use of handheld scanner.
  • Assist higher grade operators under supervision
  • Required to perform work of a lower classification as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned
