SR AD, Production Maintenance & Operational Support

Description

The basic purpose of this role is to provide management of the Production Maintenance, Calibrations, and Process and Packaging Engineering departments and personnel. The incumbent will ensure that critical equipment, facilities, and direct utilities are maintained to the highest compliant standards as well as manage budgets related to equipment and support engineering. This role will provide technical expertise on production equipment and processes throughout the assigned production areas as well as make decisions regarding the management of the production equipment and associated infrastructure. The SR AD, Production Maintenance & Operational Support leads the Process and Packaging Engineering organizations in support of the site providing expert engineering technical support for critical systems, process improvement, critical system troubleshooting, and business support services. This position is responsible for overseeing manufacturing support of current processes and process improvement initiatives and ensuring oversight of the SCADA system to ensure successful production systems operations. The incumbent will provide a high customer service level, fiscal responsibility, ethical compliance, and continuous site operation. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs Production Maintenance managers and supervisors to drive high efficiencies and effectively utilize resources.
  • Assists the production group with technical problems and operational issues.
  • Actively participates with a diverse group of individuals in a team effort to identify root causes and subsequent implementation of corrective measures, with subsequent tracking and trending of operations.
  • Manages and directs Process and Packaging Engineers to drive efficiencies, improve yields, and develops robust and capable processes.
  • Enforces compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
  • Shares expertise in a state-of-the-art vaccine manufacturing facility.
  • Ensures execution and compliance with departmental safety, quality, operational procedures, machine manuals and training manuals, cGmp’s and company policies and procedures.
  • The position has contact with all levels of internal customers and must be able to discuss issues and ideas with an open mind and even temper.
  • Requires the performance of duties which are non-standardized.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
  • In addition to a bachelor's degree, incumbent must have a minimum of 13 years’ experience in engineering, and maintenance. Experience must be inclusive of a minimum of 7 years leading people, large teams, and complex projects.
  • Proficiency in Organizational Capital Planning and Analysis is required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication at all local and corporate levels.

  • Ability to oversee multiple projects at one time.
  • Working understanding of CGMP requirements, EU Regulatory Requirements, USDA Regulatory Requirements, and FDA Regulatory Requirements.
