Sr AD, IT Lead Business Consultant II

Description

We are seeking a Sr. AD IT Lead Business Consultant to join our Data-Driven Customer Insights team in Ridgefield. The individual will be a strategic and system thinker with deep pharmaceutical business knowledge. In this role, you will be responsible for providing business analysis and consultation for the overall US Human Pharma ecosystem including cross solution initiatives and use cases.  Provides demand management, business consultancy, domain architecture, program/project management and information technology-related services to assigned business clients, and may lead and manage a medium-sized team of IT Business Consultants. Through ongoing consultation with business clients, the IT Senior Business Consultant II identifies and analyzes business needs, influences and negotiates scope and requirements, and creates opportunities for innovation in process changes and/or technology-enabled solutions. May lead and manage IT projects, typically the larger, more complex B- and A-level projects, or may lead Programs, which are a portfolio of related projects. Program and project management are from initiation to closure, inclusive of defining the scope and deliverables which support Business goals and strategies. Responsible for engaging clients in analyzing, prioritizing and governing demand for IT services; accountable for delivery of assigned IT services; and responsible for insuring that projects and programs managed realize their intended Business benefits.

This role is based in the Ridgefield, CT office. 

Compensation Data

This position offers a base salary typically between $140,000 and $222,000.  The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements.  We continuously review market data and may adjust salary ranges as needed in the future.  Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, and other factors permitted by law. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Business Consultancy: Consistently adopts a leadership role in influencing IT related business decisions through direct, and sustained, engagement of clients at all levels, usually across multiple business domains.  Demonstrates a deep understanding of multiple business domains, including associated business processes, and the interactions between business domains.
  • Project Management: Independently plans, organizes, oversees internal resources and manages external resources to achieve the goals and objectives of multiple large projects. Addresses all other aspects of the IT Project Manager role.
  • Demand Management: Leads a liaison function between the business and all providers of technical services. In close partnership with all business stakeholders, consistently influences, matches and independently prioritizes complex demands on multiple IT services to maximize value to the business. Addresses all other aspects of the IT Demand Management role.
  • Domain Architecture: Has a thorough understanding of relevant business domain processes so that proper analysis, definition, and documentation can be created to explain the relationship of systems and services required to support these domains. Collaborates with architects to govern this multi-domain IT Landscape.​  Leads in proposing improvements to individual IT systems, between IT systems / services, and within business processes.
  • Program Management: Leads large Programs. Influences in all other aspects of the IT Program Management role. 

Requirements

-Bachelor/Master degree (or equivalent) in IT, a relevant Business function, or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
-Progressive IT and business experience of seven to twelve (7-12) years is required.
-Strong business process knowledge, and a demonstrated capability to apply technology solutions in addressing complex business issues.​
-Experience managing consultant resources and external creative and technical personnel in a fast-paced and complex project environment.​
-Previous experience managing business priorities and projects across multiple business areas.​
-Demonstrated project management capability based on the successful completion of large projects in multiple business areas.
-Demonstrated capability to develop, maintain, apply and influence through a business, data, application and technical architecture within a functional domain.​
-Strong communication skills, and strong relationship development and management capabilities.​
-3 years minimum (5-7 years preferred) of experience providing project/program management leadership of IT professionals (4-9) is preferred.​
-Strong foundation in and a thorough understanding of: 1) methodologies for system design, development, and implementation; 2) all phases of the Project Implementation life cycle; 3) validation and regulatory requirements. Preferred experience includes the use of prototyping tools. Must be informed on current and new technologies & their applicability to the business.​
-Expert Knowledge of Business Processes relevant to area assigned (such as Marketing and Sales or R&D). Knowledge of IAAS, PAAS, and other cloud delivered solutions.  System design, project management, ITIL, and agile methodology experience also required.​
