Scientist II / III, Immunology

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and results-oriented Scientist II/III to join the Discovery Sciences group within Immunology & Respiratory Research in Ridgefield, CT. The successful candidate will contribute to the discovery and characterization of novel therapeutic approaches by developing and applying immunology-focused in vitro assays to support target validation, mechanism-of-action studies, and translational research. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in cellular immunology, understanding of pharmacology and drug discovery principles, scientific curiosity, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary research teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and execute cellular and immunology assays to generate reliable data that support target validation and compound characterization
• Perform diverse immunology- related laboratory techniques to produce high-quality results that drive project decisions
• Analyze and communicate experimental findings through reports, presentations, and team discussions to guide next steps and project strategy
• Collaborate with scientists across functions to solve scientific challenges and achieve project milestones on time
• Maintain accurate records and follow safety, quality, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant and reproducible research.

Requirements

• Experience designing and executing cellular immunology-related and/or pharmacology assays.
• Proficiency in molecular, biochemical, and cellular laboratory techniques; with a focus on generating high-quality, reproducible data.
• Mammalian cell culture experience is required.
• Experience in flow cytometry, ELISA, and MDS is highly desired. Experience with liquid handling lab automation platforms is desired.
• Adaptability and learning agility, with the ability to quickly acquire new scientific knowledge, technologies, and experimental approaches.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute in cross-functional team environments.

Scientist II:

• Bachelor's Degree with over 3 years of experience in a related scientific discipline, or a Master's Degree in a related scientific discipline, or equivalent experience in the field.
• Previous industry experience is a plus.

Scientist III:

• Master´s Degree with 3+ years experience in related scientific discipline or Bachelor´s Degree with 7+ years experience in related scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field
• Demonstrated ability to independently define experimental strategies, mentor junior scientists, introduce new capabilities, and influence project direction through scientific expertise and data-driven recommendations within cross-functional teams.
• Industry experience required.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
• Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Compensation Data

The base salary range for Scientist II is $74,800.00 to $112,200.00. The base salary range for Scientist III is $87,000.00 to $130,600.00. The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements.  We continuously review market data and may adjust salary ranges as needed in the future.  Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, and other factors permitted by law. For an overview of our benefits please click here.
