The Omnichannel Sales Plan Execution Lead is primarily responsible for leading and directing the successful execution of the Sales Action Plan strategy per the Plan of Action (POA), as well as evolving the POA process to enhance our Omnichannel strategies. In partnership with Senior Management, HP Operations, Field Force Effectiveness, Incentive Compensation, Brand Marketing, Therapeutic Areas, and Customer Channels, this role leads a cross-functional team across A&I, HP Ops, IT (Local and Global) from a project perspective to successfully execute new alignment, targeting and Sales Plan strategies accommodating dynamic and shifting strategy requirements and ensuring that the project and processes meet all agreed-upon success metrics.  This position will collaborate with cross functional areas and liaise with Business and IT leadership to assess and mitigate risk and meet the strategic objectives of the business.

The Omnichannel Sales Plan Execution Lead will implement continuous process improvement with each planning cycle by making meaningful recommendations based on information gleaned from past POA's as well as future direction of the business. The incumbent will also partner with global colleagues to lead the implementation, management, enhancement and support of new tools/platforms that increase our field capabilities and effectiveness. This role is expected to be a challenge partner, finding innovative solutions to challenging problems.

 

  • This role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops overall project plan of POA process which includes file deliverables from A&I into systems through Veeva CRM & PLANiT to ensure on-time quarterly POAs; Manage the Go Live Deliverables process, cross-functional team deliverables (i.e., delivery of quarterly call plans and data to the field), validations, issues and signoffs while maintaining a team culture of accountability.
  • Leads cross-functional team to provide effective risk assessment and strategy recommendations (i.e., Off-cycle POA updates).
  • Collaborates with IT and Business teams to ensure critical issues are addressed in a timely manner to mitigate impact to the quality and timing of data loaded into PLANiT or the Veeva call plan.
  • Provides quick, precise decisions and/or recommendations based on stakeholder feedback regarding issues, risks and requests specific to changes in strategy which trigger off-cycle POAs.
  • Prevents business disruption by assessing, recommending and executing plans to address changes in business strategies including product launches, field restructures, and brand targeting updates.
  • Leads, develops, communicates and executes a comprehensive strategy to ensure continuous process improvement to the quarterly POA process from lessons learned sessions after each POA.
  • Liaises with leadership and other key stakeholders to gather feedback on most recent POA cycle.
  • Identifies and creates best practice recommendations.
  • Presents to Senior Leadership by leading post-PLANiT feedback sessions, post-POA lessons learned sessions and presents updates to the Governance team.
  • Helps drive strategic alignment on call plans, making meaningful recommendations based on information gleaned from past POA's and future direction of the business.
  • Continually manages to improve quality with each planning cycle by prioritizing activities, closing gaps, and mitigating risks across all functional areas.
  • Partners with global colleagues on ownership, from a strategic perspective, of new tools/platforms.
  • Leads cross-functional teams through platform implementation/updates.
  • Fosters a continuous process improvement mind set and creative environment to better serve and meet business priorities by working across Therapeutic Areas and Omnichannel TA Leads to partner on how to better leverage or improve POA process to support Omnichannel strategy.
  • Manages major salesforce structure alignment changes, as well as product launches impacts to POA process, in coordination with A&I to satisfy dynamic and shifting strategy requirements, and to ensure a successful POA.
  • Pro-actively identifies and resolves issues.
  • Clearly communicates strategy, plans, information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages and motivates them to understand their role in implementing strategic goals through effective tactical plans.
  • Provides timely coaching, guidance, and feedback to help others succeed in their roles and meet key accountabilities.
  • Collaborates/Communicates within department and across functional areas (Senior Management, HP Operations, PMO, IC, A&I, Brand Marketing, Customer Channels, and IT) in developing timeline and project plan requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensures timeline requirements are clearly communicated and understood by all departmental personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Six-plus (6+) years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry, analytics or relevant Commercial business experience required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience leading projects and/or managing teams.
  • Proven experience and a strong understanding of what it takes to succeed in project managing and ability to oversee multiple projects running simultaneously.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn various software applications and understand data integrations across said applications.
  • Experience in more than one Commercial functional area preferred.
  • Extensive project management experience required.
  • Lean Six Sigma process improvement experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams in support of established goals/objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale cross-functional projects.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Highly experienced in project management software applications.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Strong communication, persuasion and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal customers.

  • Ability to travel (may include overnight travel).
