Compensation Data

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $269,000.   The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements.  We continuously review market data and may adjust salary ranges as needed in the future.  Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, and other factors permitted by law. Description

The National Account Director, Specialty Pharmacy leads and executes negotiation of all Specialty Pharmacy Agreements that include defined services and patient outreach within the specialty pharmacy segment. The NAD will oversee & assist with BI´s product portfolio or programs to ensure the specialty pharmacy is optimally assisting the patients of need.  As an employee of Boehringer Ingelheim, you will actively contribute to the discovery, development, and delivery of our products to our patients and customers. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establishes high-level relationships with decision makers & clinical personnel within their assigned specialty pharmacy accounts.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate concepts and implementation initiatives/projects cross functionally within both Boehringer & specialty pharmacy.
  • Facilitate timely and effective Account Team calls & QBR meetings that involves both the needed individuals at the specialty pharmacies as well as Boehringer internal stakeholders.
  • Lead & coordinate efforts with designated RAAD lead for assigned specialty pharmacy.
  • Acts as consistent source of external business information gleaned from a combination of customer interactions, industry networking and mining media resources.
  • As the BI customer expert, influences and builds enduring relationships with key customers, including C-Suite Executives.
  • Positively impacts the overall quality level of service experienced by the National Account as a BIPI customer.
  • Obtains, maintains, or creates an advantage for BI product through effective account management and holding the customer accountable for KPI performance.
  • Key responsibilities for NAD´s with Specialty include negotiation of all Specialty Pharmacy Agreements that include defined services and patient outreach as agreed upon by brands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor´s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Five-plus (5+) years of experience in US pharmaceutical industry, including three (3) years of successful National/Regional Account Director experience.
  • Direct account experience within Specialty Pharmacy and/or Specialty Distribution preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budget, resources, and territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Confidence and Executive Presence.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
  • Ability to travel (may include extensive overnight travel).
  • Valid Driver´s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
