Compensation Data
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $147,000. The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements. We continuously review market data and may adjust salary ranges as needed in the future. US Creative Solutions at Boehringer Ingelheim is a strategic internal partner delivering high-impact creative assets across Marketing, Medicine, and internal communications for the Human Pharma Business Unit. In addition, this group oversees all promotional print production and sample fulfillment, providing central governance for these key organizational functions.
The Media Production Specialist is a versatile specialist providing Video, Photography and Asset Management support within the US Creative Solutions team across a range of production needs.
This role blends on-set production skills, light post-production, photography, and asset management. The role encompasses a flexible attitude towards working in various parts of the process, champions media asset organization and works collaboratively across the company.
This role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports video shoots across pre-production, production, and post-production.
- Operates cameras, audio equipment and lighting for interviews, internal communications, social-style content, and longer format video.
- Performs light editing, basic color correction and simple motion graphics as needed.
- Partners closely with the AD, Video and Photography and Creative Leads to execute concepts and maintain quality standards.
- Captures internal headshots, event photography, and documentation of creative work.
- Sets up and manages lighting for portraits and small-scale photoshoots.
- Ensures consistent visual style aligned with internal brand guidelines.
- Serves as primary librarian for all video and photo assets. Works with Creative Operations Lead to establish and maintain file-naming conventions, folder structures, metadata tagging and long-term storage solutions.
- Manages ingestion, organization and retrieval of footage, photography, and media project files.
- Ensures compliance with company documentation and retention requirements.
- On assigned projects, tracks production timelines, deliverables, and approvals.
- Coordinates planning for shoots, including scheduling, equipment prep, and location needs.
- Communicates clearly with internal partners and helps keep projects moving smoothly.
- Supports the AD Video & Photography with planning and prioritization.
- Media Production Specialist supports the Director, Creative Solutions in quarterly (and ad hoc) reporting, gathering insights and providing performance analysis that inform strategic decisions and future planning.
- When assigned, may represent Creative Solutions in strategic planning forums and working groups focused on media production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent background, skills, and work experience to align with required responsibilities.
- 5+ years of experience in video production, in-house, at an agency or production company
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite, Wrike (or other project management tools), Vimeo, DAMs and a facility with new tools and platforms
- Strong knowledge of and interest in camera operation, lighting and audio set up.
- Understanding of photography fundamentals, including lighting set up
- Competence in basic video editing, color correction and simple motion graphics or graphics adjustments
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Diligence around managing large volumes of video and photo assts with consistent naming, tagging and storage practices.
- Understanding (or willingness to learn) pharma-specific processes, compliance expectations, and documentation needs.
