Description
Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Material and Analytical Sciences department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. As an Intern, you will develop and optimize ion chromatography methods, prepare and analyze pharmaceutical samples for counter ion, document experimental procedures and results, and present your findings to interdisciplinary teams. Selected candidate will get the opportunity to train and work in a state-of-the-art industrial pharmaceutical analytical laboratory.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and optimize ion chromatography methods for counter ion analysis in selected drug substances
• Design and implement sample preparation protocols for drug substances
• Document methods and present findings by preparing technical reports and oral presentations
Requirements
- Must be a current graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
- Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
- Major or minor in related field of internship
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities
• Experience in ion chromatography; major in analytical chemistry
• Strong background in analytical chemistry and chromatography
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in an interdisciplinary environment
• Hands-on laboratory experience with sample preparation, dilution, and filtration techniques
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting experimental data, with strong problem-solving skills
