Description
Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a Co-Op for its Material and Analytical Science department in Ridgefield, CT. The role involves helping develop product and process knowledge for drug products such as peptides, oligonucleotides, viruses, antibodies, and non-viral delivery systems.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory work with a high degree of proficiency to advance knowledge of the material properties in sustained delivery systems.
- Prepare comprehensive presentations and technical reports and ensure accurate maintenance of data records.
Compensation Data
This position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 - $33.00 USD / hr. commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here.
Requirements
- Must be a current graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
- Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the Co-Pp.
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
- Major or minor in related field of Co-Op.
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.
- Work in a team environment but also autonomously.
- Ability to think outside the box, solve challenging problems and deal with significant ambiguity.
- Significant experience with hydrogel-based sustained delivery systems, porosity, and diffusivity measurement preferred.
- Micro-rheology expertise using multiple particle tracking (MPT) analysis strongly preferred.
- Strong experience in MATLAB and coding is strongly preferred.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation such as but not limited to SAXS, MALS, NMR and other spectroscopy equipment, is a plus.
