Finance Manager, Capital Planning

Description

Prepare short and long term capital project spending forecasts as well as the associated depreciation expense. Provide high level analysis to support decision making process. Provide financial project evaluation (Net Present Value calculations) to facilitate financial decision making. Coordinate budget and planning cycle processes. Prepare management reports for internal U.S. management and/or to parent company in Ingelheim, Germany. Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual CapEx reporting.

This position offers a base salary typically between $115,000 and $181,000. The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus, relocation and or other compensation elements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Compile budgets and plans for CapEx projects
  • Prepare depreciation expense forecast
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual CapEx reporting
  • Evaluate financial implications of CapEx projects.
  • Act as a liaison between Capital Planning and parent company in Ingelheim, where appropriate.
  • Prepare high-level analysis, presentation materials and commentary related to CapEx Budgets, Preview, Strategic Plans
  • Direct the CapEx project release process via CIC (planning, approval, funding release)
  • Create and maintain CapEx project master data in SAP
  • Ensure that the CapEx funding release process is performed in compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines
  • Complete other special assignments as directed for CapEx projects and act as back-up to Controller activities when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Knowledge of forecasting techniques
  • Advance knowledge of Accounting/Finance is required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, SAP
