Compensation Data

Description

The Systems Engineer will partner with the IT Team members and the client community to deliver and implement underlying technology solutions in support of the business objectives to improve productivity and enhance processes. Responsibilities include participation on or leading underlying technology projects and baseline systems support, technical guidance, administrative and maintenance duties.

 

Systems Engineer will participate in system development, demand management, business consultancy, and system administration to assigned business clients. Through ongoing consultation with business clients, you will identify and analyze business needs define requirements and provide innovative recommendations for process changes and/or technology-enabled solutions. In this role you will be responsible for engaging clients in analyzing, prioritizing and governing demand for IT services; accountable for all such IT services;

This role is based in Ridgefield, CT location with a flexible hybrid onsite work schedule 2-3 days per week and as needed to support the business.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support our business with the efficiency of their research processes by maintaining and establishing modern and innovative IT technologies and tools.
  • Optimize ever changing processes through automatization, digitalization, visualization, analysis and adaptation.
  • Design, develop and maintain solutions together with a team and convince IT- and business management of your solutions.
  • Coordinate and support the whole System Life Cycle (conception, planning, implementation and maintenance) from local and global IT Research applications together with a highly motivated team.
  • Manage stakeholders and requirements.

Requirements

Sr. Systems Engineer 

Associate degree in Computer Science or MIS with a minimum of 4 years experience; or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or MIS, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or a Master degree in Computer Science, MIS, with minimum 1 year of experience; or relevant Business or IT experience of minimum of 4 years.

Principal Systems Engineer

Associate degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field with 7 years experience; or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field with 5 years of experience; or a Master in Computer Science, MIS, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or relevant Business or IT experience of a minimum of 7 years.

 

  • Strong database knowledge ranging from data modelling to reporting and administration.
  • Knowledge in administration of operating systems (Windows and Linux Server) including installation, configuration of software and administration of user accounts and role management and terminal command lines.
  • Experience with interface technologies and their design (network protocols, interface specifications, web services and analysis of network traffic).
  • Experience in script languages like Bash, Phyton or PowerShell to support automatization of tasks and maintenance scripts.
  • Experience in software development cycle (Java, Docker, Testing, Release Management)
  • Excellent spoken and written English as well as experience in working in an international and intercultural environment with the availability to travel.
