Job Duties: Manages team of 6 – 10 direct reports. Responsible for annual budget of 1M+ Euro. Shapes and represents cross functional strategic goals. Designs and operates global and local IT solutions. IT project and portfolio management. Fosters innovation. Operates global technical environment creating US first solutions that can be scaled globally. Achieves cost efficiencies for global environment ensuring US first excellence is achieved. *Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Boehringer Ingelheim USA Corporation office in Ridgefield, CT 40% of the time.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (8:00am to 5:00pm)

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field and four (4) years of experience in an Information Technology role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field and eight (8) years of experience in an Information Technology role. Must have four (4) years of experience with: Leading teams by providing functional or technical guidance within an organizational context, including setting direction, defining objectives, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects and initiatives; Design, implementation, and management of information systems technology solutions within a regulated industry, including: ensuring compliance with international and local regulatory frameworks, harmonizing processes, and adapting solutions to meet stringent standards for security, reliability, and auditability; and, navigating complex regulatory landscapes, collaborating with compliance and legal teams, and delivering technology that meets both business objectives and regulatory obligations; Business operations and technology enablement of business processes, including: working with enterprise technologies and platforms that support organizational processes, data management, and decision-making; aligning technology solutions with business objectives, driving improvements in efficiency and effectiveness across an organization; leveraging information systems to enable business value and support strategic goals within a complex, multi-functional environment; and, Formulating and executing global strategic initiatives that align technology solutions with business objectives, including assessing organizational needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing comprehensive strategies that drive business value and competitive advantage. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Managing relationships with external technology and service providers to support organizational objectives, including: overseeing the selection, evaluation, and ongoing performance of vendors, ensuring that contracted services and products meet quality, compliance, and budgetary requirements; and, negotiating contracts and service agreements and driving cost efficiencies while maintaining strong partnerships; and, Developing and managing financial plans and strategic roadmaps for enterprise IT systems, including forecasting, allocating, and monitoring budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery of technology solutions that meet organizational goals. 10% domestic and international travel required.
