The Commercial Business Director (CBD), Obesity Liver Primary Care is responsible for leading the Primary Care commercial organization within their therapeutic area (TA) to achieve business objectives and advance Boehringer’s position accordingly.
The CBD Obesity Liver Primary Care develops and executes customer-centric business strategies that drive growth, strengthen customer engagement, and maximize organizational effectiveness across the Primary Care customer segment across a broad and diverse customer base. This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of customer, field, and omni-channel strategies that drive sustainable growth, market share, and patient access. The role provides leadership to a team of Field Sales Managers and Field Sales teams responsible for engaging primary care healthcare professionals and related stakeholders.

Given the early stage of the Obesity Liver organization build, these inaugural Commercial Business Director roles will have a unique opportunity to help shape the future field organization. While the core responsibilities described in the job profile will become increasingly relevant as launch approaches, the initial focus will include supporting the Field Force organizational design, including territory and targeting input, planning for talent attraction and selection, and constructing a robust onboarding plan to optimize the employee experience and establish ways of working to enable a successful commercial launch.
