Co-Op IT - Data Analyst 1

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative co-op to join our IT Research, Development and Medicine department. As a co-op you will help in developing solutions for the scientific business team and IT while getting to learn about the team and our company.

This role is an on-site position 2-3 days per week in our Ridgefield, CT office depending upon business needs. Applicants will need to be located within commuting distance for the duration of the Co-op / Internship.

-Expect to be on-site for at least 3 days per week and must be located in the local area for the Co-op.
-Potential Start Dates are set for this Co-op: January 5 to February 2, 2026.
-You can work full-time and for at least 4 months after the start date. We can extend you up to 6 months in total. These are Full time positions only.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Consulting and Analysis: Meet regularly with IT colleagues and stakeholders within the PharmTox area to understand and analyze their processes and needs. Determine/gather requirements to present possible solutions or improvements.
- Project/Solution Activities: Support goals by participating on project teams. Deliver on assigned tasks and action items working in an agile framework. Develop tools and reports/data analysis routines for assigned systems
- Technical Focus: Leverage and utilize knowledge of applications/systems and underlying architecture. Maintains awareness of IT process best practices, technology trends and emerging technologies.
- Documentation: Determine documentation requirements and produce documentation as required in support of baseline and project activities
Requirements
- Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
- Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
- Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
- Major must be related to the field of internship.
Eligibility Requirements
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
• Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
• Must be 18 years of age or olde
Desired
- Experience in PowerBI along with knowledge of business intelligence.
- Experience in developing dashboards
- Experience with application development along with knowledge of Python.
- Understanding of agile methodology
- Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases such as MSSQL and Oracle is strongly preferred
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Docker is preferred.
- Experience with Extract Transform Load activities is preferred
- Knowledge of Robotics Process Automation and automation tools
- Knack to provide technical solutions, given a problem statement.
- Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical team members
- Ability to work independently and with team members
