Our IT EDP Commercial and Medicine Data Analytics team is seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Solution Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designs and governs scalable, secure, cloud native data architecture. This role converts business and analytics needs into Snowflake models, patterns, and pipelines for consistent data ingestion, transformation, quality, and governance. Expertise in Snowflake, dbt, ELT, and data contracts is essential.

This role is based in our Ridgefield, CT office with employees working at least 2-3 days on site to support the business.
Compensation Data
This position offers a base salary typically between $140,000 and $222,000. This position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements. For an overview of our benefits please click here.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design scalable, cost‑efficient Snowflake‑based data architectures
- Define standardized patterns for ingestion, transformation, modeling, and consumption
- Develop solution blueprints, including data flows, lineage, and integrations
- Establish and govern data contracts (schema, SLAs, validation, evolution)
- Lead conceptual, logical, and physical modeling using tools like SqlDBM and dbt
- Build modular, reusable dbt models with strong testing and CI/CD practices
- Integrate data quality, observability, and metadata‑driven validation
- Design orchestrated pipelines using Airflow, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Ensure compliance with governance, security, and access‑control standards
- Partner across data, platform, and governance teams; mentor engineers and analysts

Requirements
- Bachelor degree from an accredited institution with four-plus (4+) years IT experience
- In lieu of a degree, ten-plus (10+) years of relevant IT experience required.
- AWS Cloud experience is preferred.
- One large-scale cloud modernization project.
- Enterprise data architecture experience with Snowflake or similar platforms
- Strong hands‑on ELT/ETL and dbt skills (models, tests, macros, CI/CD)
- Deep understanding of Data Vault and dimensional modeling
- Experience designing and governing data contracts
- Advanced SQL and ELT expertise
- Familiarity with orchestration tools, Git workflows, and governance platforms
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Additional: Experience with agile delivery models and willingness to travel occaisionally as needed.
Added Advantage Qualifications
- Data Vault 2.0 experience
- Familiarity with Iceberg, external tables, and data catalogs
- Knowledge of analytics layers (Power BI, Tableau, semantic models)
- Exposure to cloud‑native and platform engineering practices
- Pharmaceutical commercial data experience is a plus.
