Biomolecule Analytics Co-op

Description

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Co-Op to join our Material and Analytical Science department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. As a Co-Op, you will contribute to developing product and process understanding for new therapeutic modalities (e.g., peptides, oligonucleotides, viruses, antibodies, non-viral delivery systems, etc.) drug products. You will work with novel technologies including microfluidic assays that are excellent tools to investigate NTMs (change in structure, interactions, impact of formulation).

Duties & Responsibilities

•    Execute lab work at a high level for new therapeutic modalities (e.g., peptides, oligonucleotides, viruses, antibodies, non-viral delivery systems, etc.).
•    Working with a range on analytical instruments and their applications for NTMs
•    Data analysis requiring use of standard statistical tools.
•    Preparation of quality presentations, technical reports and maintaining data.

Requirements

Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
Major must be related to the field of internship.

 

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities: 
•    Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
•    Proficient in Excel, and other MS programs (i.e. PowerPoint)
•    Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations. 
•    Work in a team environment but also autonomously. 
•    Ability to think outside the box, solve challenging problems and deal with significant ambiguity.
•    Preferred to have significant experience with new therapeutic modalities such as peptides, oligonucleotides, virus, antibodies, non-viral delivery systems, etc.

 

Eligibility Requirements: 
•    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
•    Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
•    Must be 18 years of age or older

 

Compensation Data

This position offers an hourly rate of $20 to $33 commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here
