Associate Director (AD) Data Translator Architect

The team builds and operates scalable digital solutions that enable real-time sharing of customer insights, leveraging Data and cutting-edge technology to empower strategic decision-making across Commercial, Medical, and Analytics functions.  

 

As a Data Translator Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and data strategy behind innovative solutions that deliver real impact for patients and business partners. You will bridge the gap between technical experts and business leads, translating complex data concepts into actionable insights and scalable solutions.

This role is based in our Ridgefield, CT office with employees working at least 2-3 days on site to support the business.

Compensation Data

This position offers a base salary typically between $140,000 to $222,000.  This position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements.  For an overview of our benefits please click here. ​

Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assumes leadership role within IT in all areas relating to application architecture requirements, establishment, future direction and ongoing support. Designs data integration solutions including process for deployment of solutions. Provides knowledge to extended team on how to integrate various data sources and architect system implementations. 
    • Design and build cloud computing and event-driven architectures with high availability at global scale decoupling application logic and developing micro-services. Enhance OneCustomer solution designs, overseeing all implementations from an architectural perspective and aligning with peers meeting business needs, data quality, and compliance constraints. 
    • Act as a Data Translator, bridging business and technical teams to identify opportunities, translating business needs into data solutions using cutting-edge technology 
    • Collaborate and partner with various organizational levels to ensure timely delivery of technology driven business solutions aligned with company strategies, target architecture, defined business priorities, and regulatory mandates 
    • Lead and/or manage a diverse team of Business and IT professionals in delivering results 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with four-plus (4+) years IT experience. In lieu of a degree, ten-plus (10+) years of relevant IT experience required. 
  • Solid understanding of data engineering, data science, data visualization, and data governance principles with proven experience with design and development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions, including Machine Learning, NLP/NLU and respective integration points. 
  • Significant experience in designing, implementing, or operating Cloud Solutions (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) strategy and implementation for mid or large size organizations (this includes private/public Clouds ; on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or VMWare) 
  • Must have  proven experience in information architecture, platform/application architecture, design and development of cloud-based solution using microservices or APIs, database administration, data integration, information/data modeling technologies, and data warehouse architecture 
  • Must have designed well-architected enterprise solution framework based on operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization 
  • Experience with DevOps operating model and continuous delivery process such as containerized application platform (OpenShift/Kubernetes), Dockers, CD/CI pipeline tools, Atlassian tool stack etc. 
  • Several years of experience in data solution, preferably within the pharma industry, as an interface to internal and external business partners on a global level with strong business acumen and domain knowledge, with proven ability to translate technical jargon into business language and drive adoption of data solutions 
  • Experience in working with senior leadership team across business and IT functions to design technology and process landscape and develop overall cloud solution strategy 
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing change management and competing priorities with excellent articulation, communication and strong interpersonal skills
