Programme Manager Operations
THE POSITION
As Programme Manager Operations (PMO), you will lead the delivery of strategic global supply projects at Boehringer Ingelheim’s UK Global Supply Site in Pirbright. Leveraging your strong business acumen and project management expertise, you will drive execution excellence, ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
This is a hybrid-based role at our Pirbright manufacturing site.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As PMO, you’ll be at the heart of our global supply strategy, steering complex projects like Antares from concept to completion. You’ll be the driving force behind:
• Project Leadership: Own and deliver a portfolio of global supply projects with precision, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
• Strategic Execution: Align cross-functional teams and strategies to business goals, enabling seamless decision-making and impactful outcomes
• Business Insight: Stay ahead of evolving business needs, translating them into actionable project plans and successful strategy implementation
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships across internal teams—Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, HR, Quality, and more—to foster collaboration and secure support
• Resource Optimization: Maximize efficiency by smartly allocating resources across projects
• Execution Excellence: Champion a culture of delivery and accountability through mentoring and coaching key stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
We’re looking for a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with:
• A Master’s degree in business or a technical field, and 3+ years’ experience leading major operations or projects
• Proven expertise in project/programme management within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector
• Strong business acumen and the ability to navigate complex, global environments
• A track record of successfully influencing cross-functional teams
• Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal
• A consultancy background is a plus
• A mindset of urgency, ownership, and collaboration, with a passion for delivering effective solutions
