Lead Site Reliability Engineer
THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that enhance the stability and efficiency of our equipment and utilities.
This is a fully site based role at our manufacturing site in Pirbright.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design & Implementation: Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient processes to improve reliability for equipment and utilities.
• Monitoring & Incident Management: Implement monitoring solutions and manage incident response to ensure system uptime and performance.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze onsite processes to improve performance and implement continuous improvements to enhance efficiency. Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and recommending corrective action.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
• Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to monitor equipment performance and identify trends.
• Collaboration: Work closely with onsite teams, HSE, Biosafety, QA, Productions and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of changes.
• Automation: Automate repetitive tasks to improve system reliability and reduce manual intervention.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure systems comply with regulatory and organizational requirements, and implement security best practices.
• Initiates deviations in Quality electronic systems when Engineering and Maintenance non-conformances are detected.
• Write or participates in deviation investigations and RCA's (root cause analysis report) for determination of appropriate root causes
• Performs follow-up on CAPA's for completion
• Responsible for recognizing any non-standard event and raise appropriate deviation.
REQUIREMENTS
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field. Experience working with Bio safety and GMP.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in lean six sigma principles
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Education: Formal education in an engineering related field.
