THE OPPORTUNITY

As our Medical Manager, you will be responsible for driving the medical strategy and execution for Human Pharma products in Norway for the Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Therapeutic Area. You will ensure scientific leadership and compliance across therapeutic areas, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to support product lifecycle management, regulatory requirements, and market access.
You will report directly to the Medical Affairs CRM Team Lead located in Copenhagen, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, and CDO.
The role is office-based in Asker, with national responsibility for engaging healthcare professionals across Norway. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent in the field, requiring regular travel within Norway, as well as to our head office in Copenhagen and across Europe.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive and implement the medical affairs strategy for Norway.
- Mentor the team of MSL’s, providing training, guidance and support in liaison with the CRM medical team lead.
- Translate strategy into action and serve as a trusted partner to Medical Managers in DENOR.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with External Experts (EEs), healthcare professionals, authorities, and patient organizations.
- Provide scientific and strategic input to the CRM asset team and contribute to the development of local medical plans.
- Ensure compliance with local and global regulatory and ethical standards.
- Lead and support clinical and scientific projects, including Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS).
- Deliver medical training and support to internal teams, including field force training.
- Gather and analyze medical insights to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Act as a scientific partner in cross-functional teams and contribute to product lifecycle management (pre-launch, launch, post-launch).
- Represent Norway in regional and global medical forums and initiatives.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Master’s or PhD in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in roles such as Medical Manager or Medical Advisor.
- Strong understanding of Norwegian healthcare system and regulatory environment.
- Excellent command of Norwegian and English.
- Strategic mindset with strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive change.
- Collaborative team player with experience in cross-functional environments.
