Sr. Specialist, Employee Central - Japan
The Position

The Employee Central Senior Specialist is expected to help build the HR General Services responsible for back-end processes around employee onboarding, hiring, general employee data administration, employee termination, and more. The role will cover the entire scope of the employee life cycle.
The Employee Central Senior Specialist will serve employees within Japan and other countries across several time zones and multiple companies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute and run back-end processes around employee on-boarding, hiring, general employee data administration, employee termination, etc. Adheres to the data quality standards and delivers against defined SLAs.
- Ensuring data accuracy across all processes and delivering exceptional service in collaboration with our Japan stakeholders.
- Accountable for the execution of all related end to end processes, continuously striving for improvements.
- Consultation and creation for all types of contractual documents for internal and external personnel measurements (e.g. New Hires (national/international), Transfers, Contract Extensions, Part Time Work) taken into consideration the country-specific regulations and the respective legal entity company agreement. If required initiation of works council agreement approvals.
- Orchestration of all relevant HR-specific On boarding activities.
- Consultation and realization of reorganization including but not limited to teams, business units and legal entity/corporation.
- Liase with the respective HRBP/Local HR to ensure operational process excellence. Provide reliable reports and data to HR BPs and CoEs when required.
- Handle special projects and reports for the supported countries under the supervision of the Regional Head of Employee Central.
About Our Future Employee
- College degree; in any relevant course or program.
- Has expert knowledge in the field of Employee Administration, or with 3 to 5 years of experience in any HR discipline.
- Preferably with SAP SuccessFactors knowledge.
- Business fluency in English and Japanese (N1 or N2 certified) – able to read, write, and speak Japanese professionally.
- Strong customer orientation and ability to collaborate across business units and geographies; culturally sensitive.
- Highly adaptable, quick to learn, and ready to take on new challenges.
