Specialist, Payroll - US

The Position

Join our team as a Specialist in Payroll Services, where your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will help ensure seamless payroll operations across the organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll transactions in alignment with company policies and procedures. You will monitor the Payroll Service Mailbox to ensure timely and accurate entry of payments and deductions into the payroll or vendor system. Your responsibilities also include conducting audits and data analysis, issuing final pay, addressing employee inquiries, and maintaining payroll records. Additionally, you will handle off-cycle payments when needed and provide backup support to the payroll team. Join us and bring your payroll expertise to where it matters most!

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process payroll inputs according to payroll schedule and checklists.
  • Process semi-monthly and/or biweekly payrolls according to country schedule and checklists and general ledger postings.
  • Handle final pay calculations and pay adjustments (off cycles) as needed/ requested.
  • Banking activities / TIS: including communication with bank re: receipt of direct deposit file, positive pay upload for checks and daily banking activities for rejects, incorrect account numbers or stop payments.
  • Provide backup support for fellow Payroll team members.
  • Manage MyServices and Payroll mailbox.  Includes responding to employee inquires and business/cross functional partner inquiries.
  • Work directly with HR Direct and Employee Central in resolving payroll issues (simple-moderate).
  • Year end uploads, testing and reconciliations processes.

  • Academic degree in business or equivalent
  • 3+ years US payroll processing experience performing all functions of end to end payroll
  • Experience with payroll software platforms such as SAP HR, ECP (Employee Central Payroll), and MyServices ticketing system is preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs is required
  • Licensure or certification: CPP or FPC preferred
  • Ability to learn new applications and processes related to the configuration, calculation and assignment of taxes and garnishment within the payroll process
  • Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills along with keen attention to details
  • Strong written/verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong client relationship skills
  • Amenable to work night shift
