Specialist, Intercompany Accounting (Mandarin Speaker)

THE POSITION

Are you ready to make a global impact in the world of Intercompany Accounting? As a Specialist, Intercompany Accounting, you'll be the go-to expert for Boehringer Ingelheim’s global business partners, ensuring the complete and accurate execution of dedicated steps for the efficient management and execution of the Intercompany end to end process. Your role will involve compliance with Service Level Agreements, including the management and execution of core financial processes such as billing, invoice posting, payment proposals, cash application, closing activities and reconciliation. Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution, compliance and maintenance of Intercompany-related standards, processes, and procedures as part of the GBS service portfolio. Coordinate with the Global Process Owner, local teams, and other GBS Centers for Intercompany-related topics.
  • Ensure timely and accurate performance of daily Intercompany tasks in compliance with BI rules.
  • Administer processes in accordance with published guidelines, standard work instructions, internal control standards, and local finance and/or corporate policies.
  • Serve as the first point of contact in Global Business Services for the local and other counterparts, supporting them in all Intercompany-related requests within the area of responsibility (1st level support). Provide prompt replies to all emails daily and escalate issues quickly. Recognize and communicate potential issues/risks with the team and manage special/extraordinary issues and projects.
  • Drive and contribute to new projects for all Intercompany-related systems and regularly update process documentation.
  • Follow process rules, monitor Intercompany standards and seek ways to improve the process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with experience in Accounts Payable and General Accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting/finance with background in the end-to-end Intercompany accounting process.
  • Experience in shared services, business process outsourcing (BPO), or a similar environment.
  • Deep knowledge of MS Office and excellent SAP experience.
  • Fluency in English (read, write, speak); 
  • Fluency in Mandarin (read, write, speak);
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and be amenable to night shifts.
  • Team player with strong analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management abilities.
