Senior Systems Engineer - Virtual Collaboration

The Position

Join Boehringer Ingelheim’s Global Collaboration and Event Technology (CET) team and help shape the future of virtual collaboration. 

As a Virtual Collaboration Principal Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering seamless, secure, and innovative collaboration experiences across the enterprise. This position supports global operations and projects, ensuring reliability and driving adoption of cutting-edge collaboration technologies

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for Collaboration and Event Technology L3 operations and projects.
• Research and evaluate new virtual collaboration solutions for global implementation.
• Monitor and resolve Level-3 CET tickets, ensuring incidents are closed within SLA.
• Ensure compliance with IT and corporate quality standards.
• Participate in virtual meetings and project activities as required.
• Develop and implement automation solutions using citizen development tools (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, ServiceNow) to streamline CET processes and enhance service efficiency

Requirements:

• You have hands-on experience with at least two of the following:
  • Must have Microsoft Teams (MS Teams administrator, full admin rights in corporate teams console) 
  • Zoom Video Conferencing
  • Klaxoon
  • Microsoft Whiteboard
  • Slido
  • Other virtual collaboration tools and smart devices
  • Virtual Reality solutions (e.g., Hololens, Oculus, Head-Mounted Displays) – advantageous

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities:

• Microsoft O365 or related certification (preferred)
• ITIL Foundation certification (preferred)
• Experience in IT project coordination
• Background in similar roles within global organizations
